John was called to the Bars of Manitoba (1977) and Alberta (1978). From his admission to the Alberta Bar until his co-founding of Henning Byrne Whitmore & McKall, he practised, first in association and then in partnership, with the Parlee firm. Mr. Whitmore has eighteen years of experience in banking, real estate and corporate and commercial law.

From the beginning of his practice John prepared and advanced commercial mortgage loans and bank financings. With the cycles in Alberta’s economy this also led to an extensive practice in foreclosures, receiverships and other recovery proceedings. This experience provides him the ability to comfortably handle commercial transactions and financings of every size.

He continues to serve the needs of a wide variety of individual and corporate clients, including several national lenders. He is also the manager of Henning Byrne.
