Sean S. McMann
Sean McMann is an associate with Henning Byrne LLP, where he practices as part of a four-person civil litigation team. Sean’s particular concentration is in general commercial and commercial liability litigation, as well as builders’ liens, debt claims, and insurance and serious injury claims.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Alberta in 2011, Sean pursued his legal studies, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Southampton, in the United Kingdom. Upon returning to Canada, he was assessed by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada’s National Committee on Accreditation, receiving his certificate of qualification in 2015.
Sean articled with Elsa Rice, QC in the area of family law; completed a criminal law secondment with Peter Royal, QC, and completed his civil litigation secondment with Randolph Langley at Henning Byrne LLP, where he has remained since being called to the Alberta Bar in 2016.
In addition to his law career, and spending time with his young family, Sean is an active member of the Edmonton arts community. In particular, he has been with the i Coristi Chamber Choir Society for the past six seasons, and been involved with the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, and Edmonton Fringe Festival Committee in varying capacities for the past three years. Sean has regularly performed musically in both Canada and the UK, and continues to do so whenever possible.
