William J. M. Henning is the senior member of Henning Byrne. He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1952, following which he practised in partnership with W. E. Simpson, Q.C. (1952-1962) and with W. J. Haddad and J. C. Cavanagh (1962-1971). With the merger of Cavanagh Henning and Smith Clement Parlee in 1971, Mr. Henning became and remained, for nearly two decades, a senior member of the Parlee Irving Henning Mustard & Rodney firm (now Parlee McLaws). In 1991, he co-founded Henning Byrne Whitmore & McKall, bringing with him a wealth of legal and business experience.

Mr. Henning has served on the Edmonton School Board and on Edmonton City Council. He is a past President and a current Director of Edmonton Northlands and has served on the Boards of Directors of Carling O'Keefe Breweries, National Trustco Ltd. and National Trust Company. He remains a Director of a number of established and active corporations including FT Capital Ltd.

Mr. Henning is an invaluable source of practical advice in virtually every area of practice. His continued involvement in the Edmonton business community makes him an excellent source of business information and contacts.
